I got this hoping it could be used to re-seal jars after initial use without bothering to get out the Food Saver ... I am not impressed with this Fodmore vacuum sealer.It worked well enough on a regular mason jar which required about 20 seconds of operation to clear the air from the jar. Wide mouth jars required some fiddling to get the sealer to fit on to the jar. Then I had to hold the sealer tight to the jar to get it to pump the air out. The wide mouth jars required the same 20 seconds of operation to clear the air from the jarIt turns itself off when it gives up on removing any more airThe jars remained sealedFor anyone mildly disabled or for someone picturing turning this on and using those seconds to accomplish some other task, I found this to be a fiddly piece of equipment

I have been wanting a jar sealer for some time now, and this little guy fits the bill. Super easy to use and charge. It is made of plastic, so its durability may be questionable, but this is only getting occasional use, so I'm not worried about that at all. We like to make a lot of soups, and this will come in handy when jarring up chilis and chowders to store in the fridge for longer periods of time. The price is right; it comes with 5 large lids and 5 small lids, a USB-C charging cable, and an opener to open an airtight, sealed container.

I'm obsessed with this jar vacuum sealer! It's actually amazing for my canning. The electric design makes it so easy to use, and the vacuum sealing ensures my preserves stay fresh for months. The included can opener is a bonus!

The sealer is of good quality and does seal the mason jars, which are very practical. Recommended for everyone to buy, Mason Jars are very environmentally friendly food preparation container, which is very convenient and quick to use with a sealer.

This was a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. I'm impressed how easy it seals. It works for small mouth and big mouth jars.

This has saved a lot of time when canning. Before this I was using the old method of cooking some water in a pot and putting the jars in. I thought I'd give this a try to see if it could make it faster while achieving the same results.This little device, pleasantly does all that and saves me a ton of time. It's very easy to use, no prior knowledge needed. You just out the cap on the jar, press the button and let it do it's magic. Rinse and repeat as many times as needed.Quick and easy, without he mess of pots and water. I did a small test batch first to see if the contents would spoil and it's held up well. You get that "pop" when you open up the can for the first time.

I have to say, I hate it when things don't come charged. We live in a world of instants, and this doesn't disappoint. It is charged, it is ready to go, and it just works. It comes with lids of 2 different sizes and charges through usb-c (doesn't everything now)

This sealer sucks .... the air right out of the mason jar and makes an AMAZING tight seal. You can really here the POP! when you remove the lid. It's also a great size and super convenient to store. Im a fan!

This is a very handy home-consumer class vacuum sealer for standard small sized Mason, or Mason-style jars. I use mine for both dry and wet perishables with equal effectiveness. Be careful with certain items though; some are not suitable for vacuum sealing. Marshmallows are a case in point. They actually expand under vacuum.I commonly use mine for keeping nuts and raisins fresh for extended periods of time. Because the unit’s charge is sufficient for a considerable amount of sealing, it’s super great in my remote cabin that gets occasional use and certain perishable foodstuffs will last a lot longer, scent free (on the outside, which isn’t so attracting to predators) last much longer accordingly.My device came “preloaded” with a 26% charge. Within two uses, it dropped down to 16%. Charging it back up from 16% to 100% took about 25 to 30 minutes. I never have fully depleted the sealer and counted the number of sealings I got out of it, but it’s considerable. I can charge the unit with a standard auxiliary power bank (charger, like for a phone).The number of seals per jar depends both on the size of the jar and the volume of the fill. Simple physics says that more power is required to remove more air. Fuller, smaller jars seal quicker than larger emptier ones, for example.The unit does make some noise, but it’s not super loud. It’s super easy use. The standard configuration is for small sized jars, but removing the adapter allows use on standard sized mason jars.If you’re going to seal a variety of small and large mouth jars, sort by size and do all of one size first and then the other to save reconfiguration time.The package comes with of few of both 2.75 inch and 3.4 inch lids. Note that using the provided jar opener can damage the lids preventing re-use. It takes some effort, but I hold the jar at the neck with both hands with my two thumbs together facing me. Pushing upward with sufficient force will break the vacuum and “pop” the lid without damaging the seal.Take care when installing and removing both the adapter, and when pushing the sealer on to a jar. Take care not to crimp the seal itself which can compromise the seal and damage the unit. Note that some jars, no matter how much tinkering and installing, removing and re-trying the seal simply don’t want to seal. This does not mean the unit is defective.Have fun with this sealer; it’s a great value for the money.

I have some jars with no lids. This sealer helps keep my jam fresh for a longer time. USB charging is nice too!
